Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Christopher Lennon, a native son of the Piney Grove community in Evergreen, North
Carolina, was appointed Pastor of Bryant Swamp Missionary Baptist Church in June 2025.
His appointment followed 14 years of dedicated service as Associate Pastor, a role he
embraced with humility and a deep sense of purpose beginning in 2011. Rev. Lennon’s
heart for ministry is rooted in a rich family heritage of pastors and ministers who helped
shape his unwavering commitment to God, his family, and his community.

Rev. Lennon’s educational journey reflects his dedication to lifelong learning and
excellence in service. He holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from
Southeastern Community College (SCC), where he developed foundational skills in
leadership, organization, and strategic planning. He also earned an Associate Degree in
General Education from Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC), broadening his
academic scope and equipping him with a well-rounded educational foundation.

In pursuit of a deeper understanding of God’s Word and a call to serve more faithfully, Rev.
Lennon completed coursework in theology and divinity at Cathedral Bible College in Myrtle
Beach, South Carolina. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree at
Carolina College of Biblical Studies in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His ministerial path has
been greatly influenced by the mentorship and guidance of Rev. Dr. Thurman Everett,
former moderator of the Lumber River Baptist Association, whose wisdom and spiritual
leadership helped shape Rev. Lennon’s pastoral identity.

Rev. Lennon resides in Hope Mills, North Carolina, with his beloved wife, Dr. Adrian Lennon.
Together, they are the proud parents of six children and the joyful grandparents of three
granddaughters. Their partnership in both life and ministry is a testament to God’s grace
and their shared vision for helping others. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Rev.
Lennon serves as a Business Manager in the automotive industry and co-owns an
outpatient mental health practice in Fayetteville with his wife. Through this practice, they
serve and support the healing of individuals and families facing emotional and psychological
challenges, combining faith-based values with professional mental health services.

Rev. Lennon’s life is marked by a deep devotion to service, a solid spiritual foundation, and
a passion for empowering others through both ministry and mental health advocacy. His
ability to lead with compassion, teach and preach, and serve with humility makes him a
powerful and trusted voice within the Bryant Swamp Missionary Baptist Church family and
beyond. As God’s son, pastor, and mentor, Rev. Lennon continues to walk in his calling with
integrity and faithfulness, pointing others toward Christ through both word and deed.
